GRANTS, N.M. – A house fire on the east side from Santa Fe Avenue, across the street from Canton Café in Grants, New Mexico, was stopped by firefighting teams who quickly responded and cut the flames down before the house before the building was completely destroyed by the fire.

On June 18, 2021, at 4:00 PM Officers were dispatched to area of Elkins Rd. and Howie St. in reference to a fight in progress. Officer Howard arrived on scene and encountered two female subjects on the side of the road arguing and about to engage in a fight.

The Cibola County Sheriff’s Office catches bad guys often, they find them with drugs or other items illegal for them to possess. There are several times when the bust they make is large – so large that the federal government gets involved, which is what happened on Monday, June 20.
