Cibola is Back to Work

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – Cibola County is returning to work. The unemployment rate in Cibola is now below prepandemic levels; even with the good news, there are still 2,156 eligible people in the county that are currently unemployed.

A fire in San Rafael on this morning of May 28 completely destroyed a garage. Grants Fire and Rescue worked with Milan Fire Department, Cibola County Fire Command, and Superior Ambulance to tackle the fire. There were no injuries reported from the scene.

Budget award, audit review, and PERA resolutions

The Cibola County Board of Commissioners worked their way through a lengthy agenda at their Thursday, May 26 regular commission meeting. The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m., and all commissioners were present except for Chairman Daniel Torrez.
