Fatal shooting on Interstate 40

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – In the late evening of October 27, a shooting on Interstate 40 just off Exit 85 to Grants, New Mexico, resulted in at least one woman being struck by a bullet. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. where she later died of her injuries.

Shooting leaves one injured

GRANTS, N.M. – Around 1:20 p.m. on October 28 the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office respond to a shooting in Mt. Taylor Addition on Michael Street. One man was shot in the neck and transported to Cibola General Hospital. Two men, Anthony Delmar Tapp Jr.

Deadly month: COVID-19 threat remains High-Risk

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – COVID-19 reared its ugly head, in one of the deadliest months on record for Cibola County’s battle against the disease. October saw an increase in six confirmed COVID-19 deaths across the county, a number that is projected to be significantly lower than the actual toll.
