Roadwork to begin on NM 53 between Zuni and Ramah

MILAN – Approximately $1.3M is being invested in a pavement overlay on approximately 8 miles of NM 53 between Zuni and Ramah.Brasier Asphalt, (Contractor) will begin May 5, 2025, on the western section of the corridor at mile marker 21.0 (East of Zuni) and will continue east to mile marker 29.

City Council Discusses Alamo Fire in Emergency Meeting

On April 30th, the City Council held an emergency meeting to discuss what is called the Alamo Fire and its victims. It lasted about half an hour, which began with Councilor Fred Rodarte praying for those whose homes burnt down and thanking those who are helping.

GRANTS, N.M. – Over the weekend a newspaper rack on Route 66 was damaged, forcing the newspaper to remove this machine from service.The machine was located outside the Good 2 Go gas station on Santa Fe Avenue, across from the Paleteria Lucas ice cream shop.

GRANTS, N.M. — A devastating fire broke out on the evening of April 27, tearing through a Grants neighborhood, destroying six homes, displacing families, and injuring two firefighters. City officials have called it one of the most dangerous and fast-moving fires in recent memory.

Early Morning Fire Erupts in Milan

MILAN, N.M. — Firefighters from Village of Milan Volunteer Fire Department, Grants Fire & Rescue, and Cibola County Fire Command quickly knocked down a fire in a rural area along Haystack Place early Monday morning.
