Cibola County has a long history with airways and aviation dating back to the 1920s.In the early 1920s, according to Bob Roland, a member of the Cibola County Historic Society, the route airplanes used would go from New York to San Francisco.

National Junior Honor Society has been helping out with the Mt. Taylor Quadrathlon Junior Quad. Every year, the kids show up without fail, encouraging the younger racers to push hard and enjoy the day. We couldn’t do it without this group of young adults, our future leaders. Thank you again, NJHS.

A couple of weeks ago, my wife Evelyn and I were reminiscing about our last February’s “Sharing Hearts and Touching Lives” Valentine’s Day card idea and of the joy it brought to both the community and the children involved. We smiled as we talked of the hearts and lives that were touched by it.
