It is the position of the Cibola Citizen that elected officials in every capacity – including school board members, municipal officials, county officials, state, and federal officials – must be held to a higher standard.

Dear Editor, Citizens of Grants, we need our City Council to do its job, but City business cannot happen if the duly-elected Councilors don't show up at City Council meetings! Three members of the Grants City Council did not appear at the Special City Council Meeting on Monday, December 27, 2021.

My Christmas Gift

Dear editor, A cold dark time in so many ways. A house divided cannot stand. The extinction of families. Hope lost. But then I looked at the people around me. Each with their own pain and problems. Yet, still a smile, a kind word, a willingness to help or make someone else happy.

Kylie Garcia During the past week, I did a bit of reflecting. I started thinking about my high school days, specifically my journey with mathematics in high school. I always did a decent job in my math classes prior to high school, and I was in Honors Algebra my freshman year.
