Free Movie – “The Stranger”

“The Stranger” was directed by Orson Welles. Welles also acts in the film story. One character in the story is an escaped, Nazi, war criminal who lives in a small town and keeps a low profile. The Double Six Art Gallery will host the film at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 30. The gallery location is Route 66/1001 W. Santa Fe Avenue.

Free Movie – “Goodbye Mr. Chips”

School creates memories. Movies recall memories. British film, “Goodbye, Mr. Chips” takes viewers into an English “Boys” school. We meet shy, schoolmaster, Mr. Chips. The role earned an Oscar for actor Robert Donat. The Double Six Art Gallery shows the film. Upcoming August movies are school-related. The first, “Goodbye, Mr. Chips” is based on a James Hilton Novel. The author also wrote Lost Horizon and Random Harvest – also movies. The role of Mr. Chips earned British actor Robert Donat, an academy award winner. Join movie fans for this classic on Saturday, August 27 at the Double Six Art Gallery. Show-time is 2 p.m. The arts are for everyone!
