CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. -The 56th Annual Bi-County Fair, held Aug. 28 through Sept. 1, 2025, brought together livestock exhibitors, 4-H members, vendors and families for five days of competition and community activities.
Livestock shows formed the heart of the weekend, with youth competing in lamb, goat, swine, steer, rabbit and poultry divisions.
The fair also featured a pet show, costume contest, stick horse race, watermelon-eating contest, basket bingo, youth dance, bull riding and the Debbie Lee Memorial Jr.
Rodeo.
Among the youth recognized in the poultry barn, Rowdy Reyes earned Grand Champion Broiler Meat Pen and was named Overall Grand Champion Poultry Showman. Edea Graham earned Reserve Grand Champion Broiler Meat Pen and Best in Show with her Chocolate Orpington.
In the rabbit barn, Luke Branum earned Grand Champion Rabbit Meat Pen, while Graham received Reserve Grand Champion Rabbit Meat Pen. Axl Elkins earned Best in Show with his Mini Lop doe, and Harry Lee III was named Overall Grand Champion Rabbit Showman.
The weekend culminated with awards and the Junior Livestock Sale, giving young exhibitors an opportunity to showcase months of work before buyers, families and the broader community.
The Bi-County Fair returns to Prewitt Sept. 3-7, 2026, once again bringing youth agriculture, livestock competition and Labor Day weekend traditions together at the fairgrounds.
This year’s theme is “Red Hearts, White Lights, Blue Ribbons,” celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.
