Every year we hope and pray that we will be safe. Every year we work hard to protect our land. Every year, a different part of New Mexico is visited by The Greatest Danger we face. This year, that great danger is affecting towns and villages all across our state.

Fatal Crash on I-40

PREWITT, N.M. – Alcohol was a contributing factor to a fatal crash on Interstate 40. The accident left one person dead and sent three others to Cibola General Hospital in Grants, New Mexico, on April 27. Around 1:40 p.m.

Mariano Lake Man Sentenced for Manslaughter

BLUEWATER, N.M, - A fatal ATV accident on July 1, 2018 near Mariano Lake, not far outside the Village of Bluewater, took the life of a five-year-old. According to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, alcohol was a factor in this accident.

New District Court Program

The Thirteenth Judicial District Court will operate a Pretrial Services program, starting May 17th, 2022, for the district and magistrate courts in Cibola County. Under our American justice system, people charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Student Poets Win Big

GRANTS, N.M. – Student poets at Los Alamitos Middle School recently won big thanks to their creative writing. Los Alamitos had a winner for both grades and an overall winner between the two grades. Contestants in this competiton were charged with writing an original, descriptive poem.
