Janice Denise Sanchez 65, passed away Monday June 13, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones at, Honor Health Deer Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
Janice was born on February 2, 1957 in Anaconda, New Mexico to the late Edward and Isidorita "Sister" Pena. In addition to her parents proceeding her in death is younger brother Vincent Pena of Grants, New Mexico.
Janice spent most of her career as a 911 dispatcher. First with the Grants Police Department and also with Cibola County Communication Center. In Phoenix, Janice worked as an alarm responder.
Janice loved helping others, her care and support made her an invaluable boss and coworker to all working with her.
Janice loved her family and friends. Janice was survived by husband Mike Trujillo; daughter: Lynnea Sanchez (Adrian); Granddaughter: Anikka Martinez; children by love: Paul and Rebecca Pena; brother: Bill (Ruby) Pena; Sisters: Barbara (Bob) Carter, Vikki (John) Coristine; and several nieces and nephews.
Janice Services are as follows, Thursday June 23, 2022. Rosary and mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Grants, New Mexico. With a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus in Grants at 12 p.m.
