He is survived by his sons: Fabian Otero and wife Josephine of San Mateo, New Mexico and Benito Otero and wife Debbie of Grants, New Mexico; daughter: Corrine Farias and Husband Robbie of San Fidel New Mexico; brothers: Victor Otero and wife Olga of San Fidel, New Mexico; Robert Otero of San Fidel, New Mexico; sisters: Helen Rice husband Rojo of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Finnie Romero husband Floyd of San Juan, New Mexico, Florie Garcia of Belen, New Mexico, Mary Jean Otero of San Fidel, New Mexico; 10 Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father: Elfego Otero; brothers: Ricky Otero, Steven Otero; and grandson: Alex Farias.
