It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Craig Chavez announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at the age of 48. Services will be at the Baptist church on Mt. Road Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. in Grants, New Mexico. He will be laid to rest next to his loving parents. Reception to follow at Daniel and Alberts house at 71 Main in Bluewater Village, N.M.

He was born on 7/16/1972 in Springerville, Arizona to the late Senovio G and Mille J Chavez. Daniel will forever be known for his extremely kind and generous heart. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone or help anyway he could. He could always be found singing or humming and just being a generally happy person. He loved to make people laugh or smile and although Daniel never had any children, he had many who called him dad and grandpa.

His family and friends were his heart and soul. One of his passions was cooking. He was awarded several awards for his famous Mille burger. Daniel was truly blessed soul and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by two older siblings: Stephen Chavez and Albert Chavez; and one younger sibling: Senonio Chavez; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his parents; sister: Michelle Renee Chavez; and niece: Kathleen Denise Chavez.

Pallbearers are Senovio Chavez, Josh McNeill, Ignacio Chavez, Herbert Welsch, Gary Chavez and Daniel Armij o.

Honorary pallbearers will be all his nieces and nephews.
