Edith Padilla Archunde

Edith Padilla Archunde was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2023, at the age of 98, with her daughters Charlotte Vigil and Theresa Garcia and son Henry (Tacho) by her side. Services will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at San Rafael Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 9:30 am, and mass to follow at 10. Graveside services will be held at the San Rafael Cemetery.

Edith lived a long, healthy life. She was known for her kindness and sweetness. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She was also known for telling everyone she loved them. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters: Charlotte Vigil and Theresa Garcia of San Rafael, NM, Helen Martinez and her husband Robert of Grants, NM; Sons: Henry Archunde of Mesa, AZ, Denny Archunde and his wife Barbara of Grants, NM, Benny Archunde and his wife Esparanza of Globe, AZ; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Preciliano Archunde; parents: Premia Ortiz Padilla and Romolo Padilla; her sons: Arthur Archunde Sr.; her brothers: Manuel Padilla and Elfego Padilla; and sister: Audelia Martinez.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Garcia, Elfie Vigil III, Daniel Archunde, Jayden Renteria, Jamie Grijalva, Todd Nicholson, and Christopher Baca.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all her great-grandchildren. Eulogy by Michelle Renteria and Toinette Garcia.
