Eloy Dominguez

Eloy J. Dominguez passed away on January 9, 2022 at his home in Camarillo, California. Eloy was born in September 1938 in San Rafael, NM, and raised there with his 8 siblings. He graduated from Grants High in 1958. Eloy moved to Ridgecrest California in 1972 and retired as a photographer from the Point Magu Naval Air Station in California. Eloy is remembered as a kind and outgoing man who loved to laugh and talk and joke. He never met a stranger. He would talk to anyone, anywhere. He was the definition of a people person. All who knew him remember his genuine smile and friendliness. He loved his family deeply. Eloy was predeceased by his parents, Guadalupe and Refugia (Ray); by his older brothers Herman and Odie, and by his wife Audrey Dominguez. Eloy is survived by his siblings: Bernie (spouse Lila), Joe (spouse Cherry), Shirley Gonzales (spouse Santiago), Richard (spouse Gloria), Annie Chavez (spouse Anthony), and Martin (spouse Theresa); and by his children Christopher Eloy (spouse Cheryl); Timothy Lee (spouse Debi), Debra Maria Dominguez-Calkins (spouse Courtney), Jeffrey Donald Young (spouse Perrie); and Anthony (spouse Emma); and by numerous nephews, nieces and grandchildren … each of whom he loved with an abiding and unquestionable love. Funeral Services will be held on January 28, 2022, at the San Rafael Catholic Church (9:30 a.m. Rosary/Eulogy, 10:00 a.m. Mass). Eloy will be buried in the San Rafael Cemetery, where his mother, father, and great grandfather are buried. Celebration of Life Reception will follow at the Cow Palace.
