Flora was born in Cubero, New Mexico to Adelino (Lelo) Chavez - Ruby Ann Galindo Chavez in her grandma's house, she went to school in Cubero, N.M., Grants, N.M. and Washington. Moving from place to place her home has always been Cubero and Grants area. She passed away in Grants on November 25, 2020.

She lived in Milan with her soul mate Grant Newlin, which she loved so much, where she was known for finding old treasures and refurbishing them into awesome cute projects, she remodeled her house from an old barn she found. Gardening and Crocheting was also one of her many talents and has made multiple blankets for many of her loved ones. lf you asked any of her family she was the best cook. She collected salt and pepper shakers and bird houses and turtles. She really loved her hobbies, but her real passion was her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her oldest son Ernest Tillerson Jr. Her Parents Adelino Chavez, Ruby Cellars. Stepdad Stan Cellars, Grandparents Frank Chavez, Leo Chavez, Flora Chavez, Mary Nunez, Her sister Grace Hicks, Brothers Terry Chavez, Clody Chavez, Frank Chavez, Jr Chavez. She is survived by her soul mate Grant Newlin of Milan, her daughter Amy Jaramillo of Bloomfield, her son Eric Tillerson of Bloomfield, Grandkids Paul and Mae Jaramillo of Farmington, Sierra Tillerson of Ohio, Vanessa Jaramillo of Bloomfield, Elias Tillerson of Bloomfield. Stepmom Lorraine Chavez. Sisters Jessie Barnhart of Montana, Marykay Bundy of Montana. Brothers: Robert and Tracy Chavez of Oregan, JoeRay Chavez of Montana. Robert Gonzales of Cubero, Lawrence "Gonzo" and Rose Gonzales of Cubero. Along with multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends that loved her very much.

A Rosary will be recited for Flora at 9:30 a.m. on May 28 in Cubero Nm at our Lady of Light Parish Church and Mass will be celebrated in her honor following right after in Cubero Nm at Our Lady of Light Parish Church, followed by interment of ashes at Cubero cemetery at 10 a.m.
