Gloria Marie Lopez Orecchia passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, in Albuquerque. Per Gloria’s request there will be no services. At a later date, the family will have a celebration of life.

Gloria was born on June 1, 1956 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Anyone that knew Gloria had their own special and unique relationship with her.

Gloria was the oldest of six siblings, she was a generous, smart, beautiful, kind woman. Gloria lived to share laughter and fun with her unique, no filter, tell-it-how-it-is personality. She had a different sense of humor, loved to laugh, and saw the joy in everything.

Gloria loved to dance, no matter the music or the setting, she would always be dancing. Her cooking was delicious, and she liked to feed everyone. She would help people without them knowing and made her smile inside. She was a strong, independent woman with a big influence on everyone in her family and friends.

She was a big believer in Jehovah and would speak about God. Gloria was quite simple but an incredible woman. Her light will always be missed. She was the beauty in life, still seen in a world so ugly.

Gloria is survived by her husband: Rick Orecchia; daughters: Marsha Chavez, Nezhoni Valles, Natasha Valles; son: Lavine Gonzales; grandson: Devin Fong; granddaughter: Thalia Chavez, Angelique Vargas; great-granddaughter: Astrea Fong, all of Grants, Nezhoni and Noah Gonzales, Dominic, Gracie, Jacob, and Jacob Jr. Quintana, Jovahna Chavez, and one great grandson on the way; sisters: Grace Baca (Albuqerque), Frances Schnerch and Robert (Rio Rancho); brothers: Javier Lopez and Maria (Grants), Rick Lopez (Grants), Henry Lopez and Rebecca (Rio Rancho); many nieces and nephews, friends that she loved dearly, and her fur babies: Galaxy, Shadow, and Nymeria.
