Janyce Jo Bundy

Janyce Jo Bundy, age 71, passed away at her home in Grants, New Mexico on December 15, 2022.

Jan was born July 22, 1951 in Seattle, Washington. Jan lived in Washington state as a child then moved to Oregon in her teen years where she resided until 2005. She then followed her life partner to Arizona and New Mexico.

Jan attended Southern Oregon college after graduating from Lake Oswego High School in Lake Oswego, Oregon. She then earned the certificate of Christian Science Practical Nursing in 1974. She followed this career path until the after effects of polio she had contracted as a child forced her into retirement.

Jan was always willing to help in any way she could. She started a Neighborhood Watch group when living in NE Portland, Oregon. She helped her wife by proofreading every paper that she wrote in graduate school frequently at 2 o’clock in the morning.

In her younger years, Jan enjoyed many outdoor activities including scuba diving and downhill skiing.

In 1988 she met her life partner on April 1. They were married on June 1, 2014 in Grants, New Mexico.

She is survived by her wife: Clara Bundy of Grants, New Mexico; sister: Jill Graaf and life partner Lyn Bonham of Missouri.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents: Jack and Joyce Graaf.
