Matthew Jacob Lujan, 39, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Rosary and memorial will be held at Rivera Funeral Home on Thursday, September 2nd at 6 p.m. Mass will be held Friday, September 3 at 10 a.m. at San Isidro Church on Agua Fria Street. Burial will follow at San Jose Catholic Cemetery in La Cieniga. Reception to follow, location given upon request.
Matthew was a loving uncle of Patricia Boydston, Monique Evans, Andres Saenz Jr., Angelique Evans, Dominique Evans, Joy Boydston, Jyn Boydston, and his grandnephew Truitt Cordova.
He was passionate about snowboarding, hunting, fishing, reading, opera, debate, and travel. He enjoyed genuine encounters and loved to test the limits. Matthew was a firm believer in philosophy and the principles taught throughout various religions. His presence is sorely missed and his loss is felt by so many. Matthew provided a light for so many shared a sense of charisma to all walks of life.
Matthew is predeceased by his sister: Jacquelyn Claire Boydston/Saenz; cousin: Nicholas Gonzalas; uncle: Joseph Dubois, grandmother: Celia Dubois; grandfather: Alberto Dubois; and father: Alfred Lujan.
He is survived by his mother: Margaret Dubois; companion: Mindy McClung; brothers: Christopher Jay Boydston and Albert Evans; sisters-in-law: Consuelo Evans and Stephanie Boydston; brother: Timoteo Lujan; and sister: Jill Lujan.
