Michael S. Copeland

Michael S. Copeland, 66, beloved brother, father, and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on September 7, 2020. A memorial service will be held at Grants Memorial Cemetery on Friday, September 18 at 2 p.m. In observance of the Public Health Order we ask people to wear masks, maintain social distancing, and not to gather in groups of more than 10 people.

He entered this world on March 23, 1954, in Gallup, New Mexico born to Owen and Elizabeth Copeland.

He is survived by his sister: Kathy; brother: Robert "Bull" Copeland and wife Dot, brother: Rick Copeland; son: Damon Copeland and son Evan Copeland and wife Sarah; and grandchildren: Devon, Camryn, and Everleigh.

Mike was a Renaissance man with many talents that included anything mechanical, wood working, restoration of artifacts, an amateur stock car driver and collected a multitude of memorabilia. He served his community as a volunteer firefighter for Milan and was always willing to help a neighbor in need.

The family will be present during the graveside ceremony starting at 2 p.m., if others would like to pay their respects, we ask that you wait in your car and proceed to the grave after the ceremony concludes. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date after the public health order is lifted.
