Shannon Michelle Bryant passed away September 30, 2020 at her home in Arvada, Colorado. She was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and teacher. A private mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020, at St. Margaret Mary Church, followed by a public graveside service at 11 a.m. at the Cortez Cemetery. A gathering for friends and family will immediately follow.

Shannon was born September 21, 1974, to John and Anita Bryant, long-time residents of Cortez, Colorado, and was the second of two daughters. She was an active member in band and color guard at Montezuma Cortez High School. She attended Colorado State University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine.

Shannon’s passion and love were teaching and inspiring others to learn. She adored her students and they adored her. She began her teaching career in Grants, New Mexico. In 2010, she moved to Denver to be closer to her big sister. She taught at Silver Creek High School in Longmont and, most recently, taught at Riverdale Ridge High School in Adams County. She was known as an amazing educator and a tireless supporter of her students. She effortlessly built trust with them and made a significant impact on their lives.

She was a loving person and known for her random acts of kindness and generosity. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother: Anita; her sister: Francyne Bryant Schultz and husband Troy; her uncle: Tom Bryant and wife Betty; her cousins: Walter Bryant and wife Rechanda, Tommi Sue Cox and husband Dan, and Cody Bryant; along with a multitude of friends and fans.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father: John.
