Veronica Betty Salazar
Veronica Betty Salazar was born to Thomas and Piedad Murrietta on September 22, 1935 in San Rafael New Mexico. She was the last surviving family member of the Muriettas. Veronica Betty Salazar will be put to rest on Friday, March 3 at the San Rafael church at 9:30 am rosary, 10 am mass, followed by burial at San Rafael cemetery.
She was married to Pete Salazar on August 15, 1959 in Grants, New Mexico, they were happily married for 62 years and they have finally reunited in heaven. Veronica’s faith was strong, she was involved in the choir of San Rafael parish. Veronica and Pete always helped anyone who needed assistance and never turn anyone away.
She has survived by her children: Estella Valdez; her sons: Pete and Robin Salazar; grandchildren: Anna Valdez, David Salazar, Ashley Valdez, Christina Salazar, Peter Valdez, Savannah Salazar, Jakie Salazar; her great-grandchildren: Daniel Mariano, Esteban Joey Valdez, Jazyme Valdez, and Cordelia Salazar.
