Chief Justice Urges Legislature to Address Funding Gaps in State Courts

SANTA FE – New Mexico Chief Justice David K. Thomson called on state lawmakers January 21 to provide critical funding for court operations, including security, technology upgrades, jury trial expenses, and employee pay, during his State of the Judiciary address to a joint session of the Legislature.

Howard Named Livestock Inspector of the Year

New Mexico Cattle Growers’ Association (NMCGA) announced the 2024 Livestock Inspector of the Year: Steven Howard at Joint Stockmen’s Convention held in December at Hotel Albuquerque. In 2019, Steven moved to District 19 and began his career as a supervisor.

Howard Hutchinson awarded 2024 King Service Award

In 2009, New Mexico Cattle Growers’ Association founded the King Service Award to recognize the memory and accomplishments of former Governor Bruce King and beloved wife Alice; of which many New Mexican’s were the beneficiary.
