New Mexico residents were treated to a rare view of the Northern Lights Thursday night after a solar storm hit Earth, sparking electric fields in rock and soil and creating incredible auroras over much of the United States, including the Bluewater Lake area in Cibola and McKinley counties.

Pet of the Week Meet Jackson

He's a four-and-a-half-yearold neutered male that was unfortunately never reclaimed so has been put up for adoption again. He's super sweet, great with others and cats. Up to date on shots and has his current rabies, so is ready for a home with kids and to be loved.

Indigenous Peoples Day Celebrated in Laguna Pueblo

LAGUNA, NEW MEXICO – The Laguna Pueblo tribe always combines entertainment with tribal welfare. Today, Indigenous Peoples Day, was celebrated with dances, arts and crafts, free food, and booths maintained by Laguna Pueblo entities that serve the tribe’s welfare.
