ALBUQUERQUE – In a significant conclusion to a violent confrontation that occurred in 2020, Robert Benjamin Nelson, 31, from Scottsdale, Arizona, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison. The sentence, announced on October 11 by United States Attorney Alexander M.M.

The Grants FFA chapter has competed in their first competition of the year in Farmington. This is the first competition that the chapter has competed in after rechartering. GRANTS, N.M. – A domestic dispute in the City of Grants took a violent turn on November 3, 2023, when police officers responded to a call reporting a male subject assaulting his girlfriend at an apartment complex.

The Cibola Arts Council held a Dia De Los Muertos celebration at the Double Six Art Gallery on November 2. The Council invited members of the community to build ofrendas to honor their loved ones that passed. The celebration included refreshments, and an opportunity to see the ofrendas built. GRANTS, N.M. — Dia de los Muertos (Spanish for, “Day of the Dead”) is celebrated every year on November 1 and 2 to honor and remember family members that have passed away. This year, the Cibola Arts Council decided to hold a small celebration for Dia De Los Muertos at the Double Six Art Gallery.
