Sharing Hearts and Touching Lives Act 2 - A Valentine Story

A couple of weeks ago, my wife Evelyn and I were reminiscing about our last February’s “Sharing Hearts and Touching Lives” Valentine’s Day card idea and of the joy it brought to both the community and the children involved. We smiled as we talked of the hearts and lives that were touched by it.

First Navajo Code Talkers Sworn-In at Fort Wingate

The above photograph depicts the first 29 U.S. Marine Corps Navajo Code Talkers, who were sworn in at Fort Wingate, NM, on May 4, 1942. While the US National Archies was not able to provide the names of these heroes before press time, the Cibola Citizen honors them and their sacrifice.
