GRANTS, N.M, - Locals have been partnering with Mt. Taylor Coffee Company for months for an event called Cars and Coffee. With the weather starting to warm up, it’s about time for the Cars and Coffee season to begin again.

If you have limited ability to reach down to the ground to garden, you can use raised planters. If your soil is lava, or is like concrete, you can use any variety of pots. Container gardening will allow you to garden and beautify your yard. You can grow a great variety of vegetables and flowers in pots and there is no end to what can be used.

March 12 Rotary Bowl-A-Thon 9 a.m. at Thunderbird Lanes, 300 Jefferson Avenue in Grants, N.M., all proceeds will benefit the Grants-Milan Rotary Club’s backpack program which helps feed underprivileged student in the Grants-Cibola County School district by filling their backpacks with non-perishable food.

February 5 Chamber Banquet Date Postponed In an abundance of caution, and an effort to ensure that Cibola’s workers do not catch COVID-19, the Grants/Cibola County Chamber of Commerce has moved their annual Chamber Banquet to Saturday, March 5. The Chamber apologizes for this inconvenience and looks forward to seeing the community come out in support of local businesses on March 5.
