Nancy’s Appliances, Flood Survivor

GRANTS -- Nancy’s Appliances on First Street was another casualty of the recent flood. The appliance store has reopened, but cleaning is still necessary to restore the store to its former condition. Other store owners along First Street had similar experiences.

Responding to the Flood

The City of Grants and other areas in Cibola County were severely impacted by flash flooding on June 21, prompting both the city and county to declare a state of emergency. The flood, described as a 100-year storm, caused extensive damage to homes, businesses, vehicles, and roads.
