I don’t know if you know this or not, but, Grants High School has started back up the Marine Corps Junior ROTC program. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best programs the high school has ever had. The young people have won countless awards statewide and national competitions as well.

GRANTS, N.M. – For the past few months, local government managers have met with locals the first Thursday of every month to discuss community issues and provide updates from each municipality.

Wednesday, October 6, “Book Talk” readers’ group met at the Grants Public Library. The topic, decided by the readers at the September meeting, was poetry. Atten dees enthusiastically discussed poets, poems, books of poetry and poetic styles.

Taxes; The $2 questions

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – There are two bond measures on the upcoming November 2 ballot, both asking for permission to approve a $2 tax each, per $1,000 of a property’s taxable value. If approved, both questions will see the money used for purposes of enhancing schools and equipment inside of them.
