Ficus trees, aka weeping figs (Ficus benjamina), are famous for sudden leaf drop and other seasonal problems. In my experience, once the leaf-drop symptoms start, they usually get worse before they get better. If your ficus houseplant starts throwing a fit, do not despair. It is just a phase.

Leeks are an easy to grow and tasty member of the onion family. They can be grown in Cibola County without too much trouble, but to be successful they will require some planning. Leeks like the same growing conditions as onions.

This past Thursday, February 4 a minor mishap took place on the railroad tracks in Grants by the AutoZone store. According to the Cibola County Sheriff, a mechanical malfunction in the area were two cars are connected together caused the derailment.

SANTA FE, N.M. — The New Mexico State Legislature will be debating House Bill 40, a piece of legislation that would make it illegal for any city, village, or county to enter into an agreement or extend a contract with a private prison.
