The Grants High School boys’ basketball team went 2-1 over the weekend to improve to 6-2. They played in the Marv Sanders Memorial Invitational Tournament in the four corners area and squared off with the 5A Farmington Scorpions (7-0) for a second time.

The Grants High Schools Pirates were on a pretty good tear this weekend as they went 2-1 at the Tournament of Champions at Capital High School. “The Capital Tournament was a great test to see where our team is at,” said GHS head basketball coach Landon Chavez.

The New Mexico Activities Association’s Board of Directors met in regular session on Wednesday, November 29th in the NMAA Hall of Pride and Honor.

Basketball season started for Cibola County teams and the Grants High School Boys’ Basketball team was off to a good start with a 61-45 win over the Bloomfield Bobcats (02).
