Thanksgiving, a Story of Perseverance

To escape persecution and attain religious freedom, 102 Pilgrims left Europe on a small ship called the Mayflower, on 16 September 1620.Sixty-six days later, they dropped anchor near the tip of Cape Cod, further north than their intended destination, at the mouth of the Hudson River.

GRANTS, NEW MEXICO -- Many Americans look forward to the third Thursday in November, known as Thanksgiving Day. It’s a day to gather with loved ones, enjoy a feast, and remember reasons to be thankful. But there are different versions as to the origin of this holiday.

GCCS Athletes had a Good Season

Following necessary business, approval of agenda and minutes, and confirmation of a quorum, Mr. Jackie Sanchez, Laguna/ Acoma Jr./Sr. High School Principal spoke in remembrance of Hawks Cross Country Coach Otero, the school’s crosscountry coach.Coach Otero was a GCCS family member for 30 years.

New Transportation Studies along I-40 in Village of Milan

There are two new transportation studies along I-40 at Horizon Boulevard and Sawmill Road in the Village of Milan. The study at Horizon Boulevard is evaluating the existing interchange, while the study at Sawmill Road is evaluating the potential need for a new interchange.
