Diego Lopez, Reporter A pillar of black smoke billowed high into the sky above Bluewater Village, New Mexico. The smoke grew so high it was visible from the City of Grants and Village of Milan, with some officials receiving phone calls asking if there was a fire in the Zuni Mountains.

The Grants Cibola County School District sent out a Request For Proposals on January 31 with a due date of February 28 for food contractors because it is considering outsourcing the school food program in an attempt to create more menu options for students.
