As of Monday December 20 COVID-19 in Cibola County is EXTREMELY HIGH RISK for transmission. 1 in 5 residents of Cibola have been infected. 1 in 173 residents of Cibola County have died from COVID-19. Cibola has had 4 confirmed COVID deaths in the last two weeks.

MILAN, N.M. – On Sunday evening the Village of Milan Police Department responded to a call of domestic violence at Kachina Country at 707 W. Route 66 in the village. Officers made contact with a female victim and discovered her male counterpart inside their room with an apparent fatal gunshot wound.

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. – On December 5 New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal accident on Interstate 40 near milepost 156. While the accident remains under investigation, NMSP said in a statement that a 2022 Freightliner semi-truck began to slowdown for traffic caused by an earlier accident.
