Fort Myers, FLA – The New Mexico State Women's Basketball team took on the Illinois State Redbirds in the Consolation Finals earlier today. Though the Aggies were able to marginalize their opponent's lead twice, it was not enough to capture the win, and they fell to Illinois State 82-66.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, the hunting season is coming to a close. With bull elk hunts mostly done and deer hunts wrapping up it’s time to reflect on how our hunting season went.This year was a slow year to say the least for my hunt in Unit 13, but I did experience a bit of Heaven.

The Hawks lost to Texico 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-11) and finished their season with an impressive record of 21-5. Texico went on to win the 2A state championship after defeating Mesilla Valley 3-1. Lady Hawks Reach Final Four

The volleyball team from Laguna-Acoma High School under the coaching of Melanie Garcia reached the coveted final four this past weekend and lost in the final four to the eventual state champion, Texico High School, in three sets (2513,25-23,25-11).
