I drove my parents to their cabin this week. My mom is having some terrible pain in her jaw and wasn’t sure she was up to the drive, and my dad doesn’t see well enough to drive anymore. I felt lucky to spend time in the car with them, driving north. There was almost no snow.

We are sending weapons to Ukraine. Because this outflow from our arsenal stockpile is depleted, the US funds various factories across rural America to restore and upgrade it.

I find it difficult to believe that we are arriving at the end of the year 2023. It has been a busy, non-stop year for the 13th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. As the year ends, I find it helpful to review our accomplishments and our challenges.

Well, some say Thanksgiving started with the Pilgrims. Some say it started with the Spanish in Texas and Florida. Afterwards, different States celebrated at different times. Surprisingly, it was Lincoln who declared the final Thursday in November as a national holiday.
