FBI Offers New Reward to Solve Laguna Homicide

LAGUNA, N.M. – Tragedy struck New Laguna on August 12, 2021, when a murder was committed, now the Federal Bureau of Investigations is seeking public assistance in discovering the person or people responsible for the brutal murder. Agents are seeking more information from the public as the case turns cold, to prevent this, the FBI is now offering an award for information.

Details in the murder investigation are limited as no new information has been discovered since the initial reports. According to the FBI, 42-year-old Laguna Pueblo resident Victor G. Jones was stabbed to death and found on the driveway of a house in New Laguna. Jones was stabbed in the chest repeatedly “Violent crime is a challenge for many communities, and the FBI and our partners are working around the clock to bring criminals to justice,” Special Agent in Charge Raul Bujanda of the Albuquerque FBI Division said in a statement. “The public can play an important role in this effort by helping us solve crimes like the senseless killing of Victor Jones.”

Jones was born November 13, 1978, he was 5’7” tall and weighed 130 pounds. He was a male Native American who was known to go by the alias “Hugger.”

The murder is now over a year old, with no new information about this case, it may turn cold and never be solved. The FBI is asking anybody who may have information about this murder to come forward. Working to gather new information, the FBI is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who comes forward woth information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the killer.
