GRANTS, N.M. – Cruza Armijo, 26, a resident of the City of Grants, has been missing since June 30. Armijo is the second person to go missing and not be found quickly in a few months.

A post on Facebook claims that Armijo is safe, but until she goes to a police station and has herself taken off the National Crime Information Center Database, she will continue to be classified as a missing person because law enforcement cannot confirm her safety.

Armijo is 5’06” tall, she weighs approximately 120 pounds. Her hair is light brown and she has brown eyes.

Armijo was last heard from on June 30 during a phone call. She has several tattoos, including a rosary on her right hand, and a star on her left ear lobe. She has a heart tattooed on her chest.

Friends and family have been posting on Facebook prayers and well-wishes for Armijo, hoping that she will return soon.

Since she has been missing for so long, Armijo was entered into the National Crime Information Center database. Anyone with information about Armijo’s disappearance should call 505-287- 2985 and ask to speak with the Grants Police Department’s Detective Division. Those with information can also call Cibola County Regional Dispatch at 505-287- 9476. Callers may remain anonymous.

Grants Police Department works to find those who go missing from the city, they are usually able to find a person within 48 hours. Grants Police Chief Marez reminds residents that it is not a crime to go missing in New Mexico, but that the department will work hard to locate those who do go missing, whether they want to be found or not, to ensure the person’s safety.
