Cibola Water Monitoring Report as of November 10

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – Bluewater Lake continues to recede as fall temperatures settle across the region, holding 4,695 acre-feet of water as of 2:15 p.m. on November 10. That’s down from 4,711 acre-feet recorded November 8 and nearly 100 acre-feet lower than two weeks ago.

From Arena to Academia: A Conversation with Miss Indian Rodeo 2026

Crownpoint, NM – On November 4, 2025, Navajo Technical University’s Office of Institutional Data and Reporting hosted an event at the Wellness Center with Cajaun Cleveland, a current student in the Diné Culture, Language, and Leadership program, who is set to graduate in Spring 2026.

The Cibola Citizen Receives Six Awards from the New Mexico Press Association

The New Mexico Press Association (NMPA) recently awarded the Cibola Citizen with several Better Newspaper Awards. These awards recognize the reporting and contributions to the field of journalism, highlighting the dedication and hard work of various newspapers across the state.

Cibola County Honors Veterans

GRANTS, N.M. – Cibola County paused at 11:11 a.m. on Veterans Day to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces, gathering along Route 66 and downtown Grants for ceremonies, fellowship, and reflection.

In the Oct. 30 edition of the Cibola Citizen, the Village of Milan article misstated two details. The current Municipal Judge is William Cunningham, who was appointed following Judge Jaramillo’s resignation.
