Early Collage High School opened their door in Aug of 2019. ECHS is a public high school under Grants Cibola County Schools. The Program and curriculum are different from, Traditional High School settings. Students complete High School and collage credits within four years. The Goal is to obtain a HS Diploma and an associate’s degree at the sometime.
Early Collage is located in the Mclure building on the NMSU-Grants Campus. Students attend their High School closer in the Mclure building and collage at the NMSU Main Campus.
Students that attend ECHS get great support for attending extra-curricular activities. They have their choice of sports and clubs at Grants High School or Laguna-Acoma High School.
This year is out fourth year and our first graduating class of 2023. There are two original staff members Ms. Bernadette Cheriomich (Admin Asst) and Mrs. Bonnie Vigil (Math Instructor). Joining later is Ms. Claire Mckinzie (Science Instructor). New this year to the Dragons Lier is Chris Rael (English Instructor) and Lora Coles (Principle).
Congratulations to the Class of 2023 all ten graduates had stared in 2019 and five are receiving their High School Diploma and five are also graduating with an Associate Degree from NMSU.
