Dee Glasgow

Dee Glasgow of Grants, NM was born in Raton, NM on June 24, 1930 to Lee and Mary Glasgow. He passed away surrounded by family on August 21, 2022.

He had a full and adventurous life with the love of his life Evelyn (Delight) Small, wife of nearly 66 years. They were inseparable and always looking for adventure.

They had visited all 50 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

He was drafted twice and a proud veteran of the U.S. Airforce and Army. He was an avid Hunter and fisherman, a lifetime member of the Grants/Milan Elks Lodge and NRA. He was a jokester and always had everyone laughing. He loved getting together with family and friends to play games, any game. He was a true handyman that could literally fix anything using whatever he had around the house. He loved making gadgets and gizmos to make life easier.

He worked at Anaconda Mill, then became an electrician with the IBEW which took him and his family to California and Colorado. In 1974 he moved his family back to Grants to own and operate the P & E Service. When it closed with the mining industry, he drove an 18-wheeler for a short time. He ended his career working as an electrician for Lauren Construction which allowed him and his wife to travel the U.S.

He is survived by his loving wife: Delight; daughter: Wanda Scanlan (Frank) of Illinois; son: Lee Glasgow (Laurel) of Iowa; and daughter: Deanna Hoisington (Tim) of Grants. He had three grandchildren: Becky Hartley (Brent) of Illinois, Jesse Hoisington (Olivia) of Albuquerque and Lindsey Baca (Justin) of Albuquerque. He also had five great-grandchildren: Declan Hartley, Evan Hartley, Blair Marcus, TJ and Nic Hoisington.
