Franklin Fleming Williams was born to Alice and Mack Williams in Acme, New Mexico on June 16, 1933. He went to his heavenly home on the 27th of February 2024 at his Bluewater home in the presence of his loving wife Nancy Carole Williams.

During his childhood years, he had several homes including Keeter, Texas - El Morro, New Mexico, and Tempe, Arizona. He left home at the age of 16 and secured a job hauling fruit for Walter Calhoun in Phoenix, Arizona. Franklin fell in love with Walter’s middle daughter, Nancy. But marriage was a distant possibility. Uncle Sam interrupted Frank’s plans for life when he was drafted into the Army during the Korean conflict. Two weeks prior to his deployment to Korea, the United States and North Korea signed a peace treaty. Talk about dodging the bullet. Frank finished his time in the Army, then moved back to Tempe, where he waited two years for his would-be bride, Nancy Carole Calhoun, to graduate from High School in 1955. Shortly after their marriage, Franklin and Nancy moved to Grants, New Mexico where he had secured a job with the Anaconda Mining Company. He then worked for 14 years for Homestake Mining Company. He left his job at Homestake and opened an auto body repair shop in Grants in 1975, then moved the business a few months later to Bluewater. Frank’s plans for his life were again interrupted when God called him to be the pastor at Laguna-Acoma Baptist church in 1982. He remained pastor for 22 years before moving back to Bluewater where he enjoyed retirement.
