Max Jaramillo Jr. passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Max was a Uranium miner, Hoist operator, City of Grants parks superintendent, and prior to retirement he was the Village of Milan parks superintendent. He took much pride in his work and he especially loved the work he did at the Riverwalk Park and Mining Museum in Grants. He had fond memories of the Mining days and loved to talk about the memories and his lifelong friendships made while working in the Mines.

He never met a stranger and his love for family, his community and friends were never ending.

He was proceeded in death by his parents: Max and Genoveva Jaramillo; his sisters: Lorraine Jaramillo, Nicki Ramirez, Jennie Zamora, Prescilla Marquez, and Virginia Garcia; brothers: Louis Sarracino, Andrew Jaramillo, Demetrio (Meddie Jaramillo).

He is survived by his wife: Dolly Jaramillo; sister: Barbara Ramirez; brother: Joseph Jaramillo; daughters: Brenda Curtright and husband Steve Curtright, and Kim Jaramillo; his grandchildren: Kristen Lucero, Justin Lucero, Caitlin Martinez and Partner Fran, Brandon Molina and wife Ashley, Cody Curtright and wife Victoria, and Casey Marquez and husband Moses; great-grandchildren: Sammy and Isabel Curtright, Melanie Lucero, Liam Marquez, Alessandra Molina, Aniykah Martinez and Kaleb Marquez; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Grants Memorial Park a Celebration of Life Reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make donations to the New Mexico Mining Museum to honor the Miners Memorial.

Arrangements are being made with Cope Memorial Chapel in Gallup.
