Patrocino Saavedra

Patrocino Saavedra, 90 years old, was born on July 12, 1932 and went home to our Lord on December 26, 2022. Services will be held on January 6, 2023 at St. Vivian’s in Milan. Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Funeral following at Grants cemetery. He was a veteran of the U.S Marine Corps from 1951-1954 and served in the Korean War. He came back to Grants and met the love of his life, Prudence. They were married and lived in Milan for 65 years, and raised three children. Patrocio loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He worked until he retired at the Anaconda for 35 years. He had a sense of humor and was light spirited.

He is survived by his daughters: Patricia Valdez (Meddie) Paulette Selkirk (James); and his son: Patrick Saavedra (Michelle). His grandchildren: Michael, Nadine, Michelle, AJ, Tony, Brittani and Natalee. His great grandchildren Miranda, Malorie, Cadence, Austin, Jacob, Annalise, Antonio, Alexander, Olivia; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years: Prudence Saavedra; His parents: Luis Saavedra and Teresita Saavedra; His siblings: Vina Blea, Gilbert Saavedra, Lydia Dominguez, May Cruz and Monico Saavedra.

In loving memory of Patrocino Saavedra, we would like to honor him as the last sibling of his immediate family.
