Stephen Paul Hardy passed away on December 22, 2021 in Farmington, New Mexico. He was 69 years old. He was born on January 25, 1952 in Ft. Defiance, Arizona.

Stephen served in the United States Army. He worked for C& E concrete, along with helping out the at Grants Café. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, and was a high school basketball referee for 25 years. He enjoyed being active with all his grandchildren’s sports. His family will remember all the precious time they spent together, he was a beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Friend. He is loved and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years; Donna L. Hardy. His children; Matthew Hardy, Chase Hardy, Anna Hardy and her fiancée David Gonzales, Carl Marquez and his wife Megan, Alyssa Holbrook and her husband Steven, Leaf Leon and her husband Ariel, and Jayson Workman. Eight grandchildren; Delany, Trey, Carlos, Kiana, Aaliyah, Josephine, Marcus and Nicholas. His sisters; Becky Holland and her husband Reggie, Linda Sarrels and her husband Bob, and Lois McGee. Along with numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Betty Hardy. His in-laws; Steve and Lillian Vigil.

On Thursday December 30, 2021 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church a Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM, then at 10:00 AM a Mass will be celebrated by Father John Paul Sauter. Interment will take place at Grants Memorial Park with VFW Post # 3221 providing military honors.

Pallbearers include; Kurt Cotton, Reggie Holland, Oscar Lopez, Randy Roberts, Bob Sarrels, and Eddie Lovesee. Honorary Pallbearers include; Steve Brown, Martin Hicks, Larry Worthen, Robert Marquez, and Mike McConnell.
