Wyman Provance King, 87, passed away on July 16, 2022 in Grants, NM. Wyman was born March 19, 1935 in Malden Missouri, to Charles Cecil and Juanita King. He was the fourth of seven children. Wyman attended the public schools in Malden and he graduated High school in 1954. He attended Arkansas State College and in 1954 he joined the Army. During his service he was stationed in White Sands, NM; Bremerhaven, Germany; and Breman Germany. He received an honorable discharged in 1956.

Wyman was very happy that he was able to serve his country, and he was proud of his country. Wyman married Gwendolyn Stotts of Lake City, Arkansas in June 1957. They had one daughter Kimberley Jo. They divorced in 1965.

In 1967 Wyman move to NM and worked in retail, and it was here that he met Catherine 1. Shannon. They were married in 1968. They had three children. Tracy W. King, Michael S. King, and Nancy S. King. They later divorced. Wyman is survived by his children, Kimberly (Ray) Marlotte of St. Louis MO; Michael (Bridget) King of Prewitt, NM; Nancy King (Corey Allen) of Grants, NM; and six grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his mother Juanita, his father Charles Cecil, his son Tracy King, his grandson Devlin Sheets, his three sisters Phyllis, Janice, and Jane, and his companion of 24 years, Martha Raper.

A memorial service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan, NM on August 8 at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
