I saw a photo of an author I admire recently, and she had no hair. I worried she was ill, so I immediately investigated. She was not ill. She had cut off all her hair and had done it for good reasons, she said. She had done a lot of thinking about her hair—a lot more than I had.

Dear editor, I’m worried about my social security. I don’t know what’s happening that they’re freezing money payments, but I want to know if my social security will be fine.That’s my money, and the government didn’t ask me if they could take it out of my check all those years, they just took it.

Travels in Grants

My father and my niece have a wonderful tradition.Born just 69 years and one week apart, they have celebrated their birthdays together for as long as my niece has had a birthday. Last night, we all went out to eat and then went to my sister’s house to open presents and have birthday cake.
