PREWITT, NM – The 2024 Bi-County Fair is fast approaching, and with it comes an exciting opportunity for the youth of Cibola and McKinley Counties to showcase their public speaking skills.

A National Center for Biotechnology Information study published online on Sept. 1 2020, “Accounting for Unfissioned Plutonium from the Trinity Atomic Bomb Test,” stated that the Trinity device contained about 6 kilograms – approximately 13.23 pounds – of plutonium as its fission source.

SANTA FE – In New Mexico, wildfire conditions are generally receding by the month of August, but this year is different. The National Interagency Fire Center’s Predictive Services outlook says that we can expect an increase in fire potential into the month of October.
