Cibola County firefighters had their hands full over the week of Independence Day. Firefighting teams handled: Nine Brush fires, two of which were on the interstate. 19 Fires, including wildland, trash, and other.

GRANTS, NM – Grants MainStreet Project Inc. held an open house as their annual meeting on June 30, at Mission Gallery. The open house included door prizes, refreshments, and a presentation by Executive Director William Yarborough to provide updates regarding the organization.

Milan Swimming Pool Is Open and Offers Swimming Lessons, Party Reservations, Lap Hours, General Swims and Many Other Activities.

MILAN, NM – The Milan Swimming Pool is in operation and is preparing for the Summer season. The pool offers swimming lessons, lap hours, general swims, and many other activities. The pool also offers private party reservations that can be purchased at the village hall.

New Program Hopes to Find Justice for Murdered and Missing Indigenous New Mexicans

In a public hearing held by the Not Invisible Act Commission on June 28, the Department of Justice unveiled a groundbreaking initiative aimed at addressing the ongoing crisis of missing or murdered Indigenous persons (MMIP).
