Crash Kills Two Grants Residents, Injures Minors

GRANTS, N.M. – A horrific accident on July 20 killed two adults and injured their two daughters in Grants, New Mexico. Grants Police Department arrested one man, Tyrone Apachito, for allegedly fleeing a police officer while under the influence of alcohol.

Grants Man Indicted for Holding Woman Captive

GRANTS, N.M. – A 47-year-old Grants man has been indicted on one count of False Imprisonment, and one count of Battery Upon a Peace Officer. Delmar Eldridge was arrested by Grants Police Department on April 5, before he could be fully booked, Eldridge allegedly attacked a GPD officer.

Missing Man Found

GRANTS, N.M. – 58-year-old John Paul Lynn of Grants, New Mexico, went missing from his home on June 16. On July 13, he presented himself to Grants Police Department to show that he was not only safe, but well. The missing person alert was taken down on July 13.
The United States Postal Service is honoring Mexican culture with new mariachi stamps. Each of the five new stamps in the pane of 20 features a musician, dressed in the traditional outfit of mariachi performers, playing one of five iconic mariachi instruments: guitar, guitarrón, vihuela, violin and trumpet. ALBUQUERQUE, NM — The U.S. Postal Service celebrated the sounds of mariachi, the traditional music of Mexico that has become widely popular in the United States, with a first-day-of-issue ceremony unveiling a pane of 20 Mariachi Forever stamps at the 30th Annual Mariachi Spectacular de Albuquerque.
