At approximately 1:43 p.m. on December 29, Grants Fire along with multiple agencies were dispatched to the 71 MM for a truck that had rolled over with a trailer attached. Upon arrival personnel found one occupant still in the vehicle, the passenger was thrown from the rear to the front floorboard.

MFD honors retired firefighter for 97th birthday

MILAN, N.M. — Just before Christmas 2021, Milan Fire Department decided to honor retired firefighter Ed Miles on his 97th birthday. Miles spent 25 years serving the Milan Fire Department before retiring a little over ten years ago.

Dereliction of duty

GRANTS, N.M. – Three members of the Grants City Council did not show up to the Special City Council Meeting on December 27. Due to a lack of a quorum – a majority of councilors – the city could not legally do business and the meeting was cancelled after one citizen comment.

Trustees approve premium pay for employees and review audit findings
